About Arthur
TEFL certified English teacher with a strong background in foreign languages. Although I only recently graduated with first-class honours from UCL in a BA French and Philosophy degree - one in which I specialised in French literature (completing my Erasmus year at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris III) - I also have extensive teaching experience thanks to the time I spent in Chilean Patagonia as a volunteer English teacher. I am a fanatical linguist speaking fluent English, French and Spanish, in which I read extensively, and I am also a student of both Russian and Hindi, with an intermediate knowledge of each.

My classes focus on getting the student speaking the target language from the get-go.
Having been a student of four different languages I know the best ways to teach the fundamental rules without sacrificing the most important part - speech itself. By employing a structured approach where the goal is always to boost the student's confidence in their pronunciation and fluency, they'll quickly improve and consolidate their knowledge of grammar, reading and writing through a myriad of pre-prepared exercises. TEFL certified, having recently graduated with a first-class degree in BA French and Philosophy from UCL, I am also particularly well qualified to teach French literature and translation. Flexible, hour-long classes to meet the student's particular needs and goals available.
