About Alberto

I'm a dedicated English tutor and have a genuine enthusiasm for helping people improve their language skills. Having completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels in England and currently studying at the University of Bristol, I understand the pressures students face and know how to make learning feel less overwhelming.

My previous tutoring experience has taught me that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to individual needs and learning styles. I believe that learning English should be engaging and confidence-building rather than intimidating. Whether you're preparing for GCSE exams or looking to improve your conversational skills, I'm committed to creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and celebrating progress.

My goal is to help you not just learn English, but to use it naturally and confidently in real-world situations. I'm patient, encouraging, and always happy to explain concepts in different ways until they click.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach

I focus on building confidence through practical conversation and clear grammar explanations. As a TEFL-certified native English speaker currently studying at the University of Bristol, I understand how to make English accessible and engaging for learners at different stages.

My Teaching Methods

For ESL students, I emphasise natural conversation practice combined with targeted grammar work based on your specific needs. We'll work on pronunciation, fluency, and the grammar patterns that help you sound more natural. For GCSE students, I focus on the language components of the curriculum - helping you master grammar rules, improve your writing structure, and develop confidence in expressing your ideas clearly.

Lesson Structure

I typically offer 60-minute sessions, though 45 or 30 minute lessons work well for younger students or those just starting out. Each lesson is tailored to your current level and specific goals.

Who I Teach

- ESL learners of all levels looking to improve fluency and confidence

- GCSE students needing support with English language skills

- Anyone wanting to strengthen their grammar foundation and speaking ability

My Background

I have previous private tutoring experience and a 120 hour advanced TEFL certification, which specifically trained me to help non-native speakers overcome common challenges and develop practical English skills.

I have been learning English with Alberto, and he's genuinely one of the best teachers I've worked with! He has this great way of explaining things that just makes sense, and he's very patient - never made me feel uncomfortable if I had a question. He also helped me with my pronunciation - getting rid of my Austrian accent. I would highly recommend Alberto.
