About Elizabeth

I am a motivated and compassionate high school junior with a strong academic record and a passion for community service. I am an experienced ESL instructor with Paper Airplanes, an NGO supporting refugee education, demonstrating cross-cultural communication skills and commitment to empowering marginalized communities. Additionally, I have an 120 hour - TESOL/TOFEL certification.

About the lesson

Most of my expertise surrounds teaching English as a second language but if you are looking for a tutor for a native speakers English class reach out and I would be happy to accommodate you. My basic requirements for my students are that they speak at least a very basic level of English. I am fluent in English and speak a moderate amount of Spanish. My lesson plans are specifically catered to the individual students needs. The first session or two will be used to determine your English Level. But for a normal lesson plan I would start with a relevant warm of exercise, usually a simple conversational exercise. Then I would proceed with either a speaking exercise, a writing exercise, a reading comprehension exercise, a listening comprehension exercise, or a grammar lesson. Then if in the lesson I introduced a new subject, I would have you do a practice exercise. Then finally I would introduce homework and tell you to reach out with any questions.
