About Edrea

Teaching fiber arts is a passion of mine. I have taught knitting and weaving in many different contexts, working with all ages and demographics. I’ve had the opportunity to lead library programs for teens and adults (knitting, punch needle, weaving, sewing, painting). I taught weaving at a summer camp, working with kids of all ages. Teaching this art form requires patience and understanding, which are two aspects of teaching and learning that are super important.

About the lesson

Take lessons with me! Learning is supposed to be fun, and you’ll learn something new that you can add to your bag of skills and use forever. There will also be an opportunity to create a tangible object or start a project that you can continue to work on after lessons.

Having Edrea as a teacher helped me to fall in love with knitting because she made the learning experience easy to understand, super interesting, and really fun! She was great at breaking down complicated ideas into clear, cohesive lessons and ai felt really supported in trying new things. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and caring, and learning from her gave me a deeper appreciation for textiles in general

I met Edrea at my local library when I attended her knitting club series, hoping to learn. She patiently and cheerfully taught me the absolute basics and sent me off with knitting homework. I attended many more times, continuing to learn from Edrea and improve my skills. She is a trained, creative, and talented fiber artist and a great teacher, especially if you are shy or insecure about your skill level.
