About Selçuk
I am a 3rd grade student at Anadolu University Faculty of Education. I previously taught theoretical and practical English lessons to primary school groups. My level of English is C2, I have been using English at a high level since I was 8 years old. I have previously worked as a Freelance Translator in a home office style. I prefer the American English accent in my speaking and teaching.

My teaching techniques vary according to my student group and the age of my student. I try to teach with my adult students by speaking completely in English, without using Turkish at all. In this way, my student both gains ear familiarity with the English language and also has the opportunity to practice what we have taught in the lesson. I try to use the same tactic as my younger students, but sometimes there are difficulties with communication or distractions. In such cases, I apply a training method called Total Physical Response. In this method, I want my student to understand and do simple commands, taking care that English is relevant to the subject we dealt with that day. (Stand up, open the window, etc.) In this way, we both break the monotony of the lesson and collect the attention of the distracted student by reinforcing the English.
