About Tayla

My name is Tayla, and I am a top 5 matric graduate with a strong passion for helping other students succeed. I am interested in tutoring because I understand the challenges that learners face, and I enjoy making difficult subjects easier to understand and less intimidating.

I believe every student has the ability to improve with the right guidance and support. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. I am especially passionate about sharing my knowledge in subjects like Biology, Computer Science, History, Math Literacy, and English, where I have developed strong skills and a deep understanding.

Tutoring allows me to make a real difference by helping students not only improve their marks but also develop better study habits and a stronger mindset towards learning.

About the lesson

My approach to private tutoring is structured, supportive, and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I break down complex topics into simple, relatable ideas and adapt each lesson to suit the student’s learning style and pace. What makes my teaching unique is my ability to connect with students on a peer level while still maintaining strong academic guidance, making lessons feel engaging rather than overwhelming.

I am proficient in English and teach in English, ensuring clear communication and strong academic language development.

In a typical lesson, students can expect a clear explanation of concepts, guided practice, and interactive discussion to reinforce understanding. I also include quick assessments and exam-style questions to track progress and build confidence.

My lessons are aimed at high school learners, particularly those preparing for exams or needing extra support in Biology, Computer Science, History, Maths Literacy, and English. I focus on helping students strengthen weak areas while also improving overall performance and study skills.
