About Robert
Conversational fluency flourishes when the mechanics of the language are clear. One singular fact remains true in my classroom: accurate pronunciation prevents confusion. My sessions utilize the formal methodologies I gained during my MA Translation Studies at Kent State.

Translation work initially pulled me into the orbit of academic linguistics during my studies at Kent State. I currently teach Spanish by applying the same formal rigor required for professional translation projects. You will find that my work with 124 students has shaped how I approach vocabulary building and correct pronunciation.
My own background includes specialized training at the Sorbonne and in Salamanca which informs my understanding of nuance. I work with kids, people needing relocation help, and intermediate learners who need structure. These sessions focus on cultural context and practical interview preparation.
My direct style helps you strip away the fluff so we can focus on real progress. I look forward to seeing your language skills evolve throughout our time together.
