object-oriented programming, a "class" is a blueprint or template that defines the structure and behavior of objects. It's a fundamental concept for creating reusable and organized code. Here's a more detailed explanation: Definition: A class is a user-defined type that describes the characteristics (attributes) and actions (methods) that objects of that type will have. Objects as Instances: Objects are specific instances of a class, meaning they are created based on the class definition. Purpose: Classes enable you to: Group related data and functions together. Create new types of objects. Organize and manage code effectively. Implement inheritance and polymorphism, key features of object-oriented programming. Example: Imagine a class called "Dog". It might have attributes like "name", "breed", and "age", and methods like "bark()", "eat()", and "sleep()". A specific dog, like "Buddy", would be an instance (object) of the "Dog" class. Analogy: Think of a blueprint for a house. The blueprint is the class, and the actual house built from that blueprint is an object (instance) of that class.
