My approach is-
Whenever I teach someone a new concept, first I asked them what all the things they know about the topic. as per their reply I make a simple example about the concept. With real life exam . I will also gather some of extra blogs, content about the concept so that they can easily get it.
After the session I will arrange a small discussion where they can ask any query about the concept,If they have.
That's all will be better way.
