About William
Hi! I'm Will, a second-year medical student at the University of Auckland. I have been tutoring UCAT for over 6 months now and have found a real passion for it.
Like many students, I had a lot of anxiety surrounding this test and thought it was just a test of innate ability, but through my own experience and teaching other students, I have seen that it is anything but that. Through consistent practice and review I was able to improve my score from 1960 to 2630 (with an increase in VR from 500 -> 850).
Each week I will work with you on your weaknesses and build confidence in your strengths so that you too can go into the UCAT assured you will score in the 95th percentile and beyond.

I provide personalised 1-on-1 UCAT tutoring, tailored to fit around a busy high school schedule. Each week, we build a rigorous but realistic training plan together that pushes you without burning you out.
Lessons run for 1 hour and focus on a single subtest at a time. In each session, we'll develop new strategies (or refine ones you're already using), pinpoint your specific weaknesses, and work on problem-solving speed.
I don't believe UCAT is taught well through long PowerPoint lectures. What actually moves the needle is time spent applying techniques and understanding exactly where and why you went wrong. So with me, there's no sitting through slides, instead we jump straight into real practice questions, using them to demonstrate strategies as we go.
Students I've worked with have improved their overall UCAT scores by 700+ points within a couple of months using this approach.
