About Joseph
I’m currently an undergraduate Physiotherapy student with a strong interest in science, health, and helping others learn. Having recently completed GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand how stressful exams can feel and how important the right support and clear explanations are. Alongside my studies, I play rugby, which has strengthened my interest in sport, performance, and physical health. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to help students build confidence, improve understanding, and realise they are capable of achieving more than they think. My aim is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing skills that will benefit them beyond exams.

My teaching approach focuses on making difficult topics simple, structured, and easy to understand. As a Physiotherapy undergraduate, I regularly apply science in a practical way, helping me explain concepts clearly and relate them to real-life examples. I achieved strong GCSE results across the sciences and studied Biology, Psychology and PE at A-level at grammar school, giving me recent and relevant exam experience.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and include reviewing key content, working through exam-style questions, and developing effective revision and exam techniques. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.
I tutor students studying GCSE Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), as well as Psychology and PE. My lessons are ideal for students who want clearer explanations, structured revision support, or help preparing for exams. I’ve much experience tutoring in local businesses GCSE students and I took on roles within my school mentoring younger people in the school. It’s not long being a student myself I feel like the understanding and the empathy I can provide really creates a good relationship which leads to positive learning.
