About Anna
Hello! I'm Anna. I'm a 19 year old student who loves languages and literature. I didn't always know what it was that I wanted to do but found I had an aptitude for language learning and loved reading immensely, which guided me to pursue a degree in languages. A degree in languages does not only constitute the absorption of vocabulary or grammar, but also has so much to do with culture. Francophone and hispanic cultures respectively opened my eye to the importance of language learning, as it is these languages that further allow us to understand these cultures, as it is through the use of these languages that these cultures were constructed. However, I know what it's like to be bogged down by numbers and grades, and don't pretend to ignore their official importance. I aim make classes as enriching and informative as possible, striking a balance between cultural and linguistic studies.

As I have sat both GCSE's and A Levels in two different languages, and recognised the differences between the exam boards' approaches to either language. My classes aim to be very oral, as oral expression aids with the absorption of vocabulary and grammar. But classes will focus on the individual's personal needs. Constant repetition and revision is probably is the most crucial practise in language learning, so this is an action that I would encourage heavily. I have tutored people from ages ranging from 6-18, from children who have never studied French before, to students about to sit their A Levels. Classes can rage from anywhere from 1-2 hours.
