About Saman
I have been tutoring for 7 years and absolutely love watching my students blossom. I am from Los Angeles and graduated from high school as valedictorian with a 4.6 GPA. I then attended the University of California, Berkeley and have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. I am excited to be back home in Los Angeles and assist students with all educational needs, ranging from math and English tutoring to college prep and essay review. I hope to work together and help your student grow!

I specialize in working with children between the ages of 7 and 16. Before each lesson, I like to speak with the student's guardian to understand what exactly their student needs help with so I can best address their needs and meet your family's goals. For example, a guardian may share with me that they would like their student to work writing a thesis statement. I then talk the student through what we will be working on and give them the opportunity to show me where they are at. Based on this, I build off of your student's current knowledge, being sure to provide feedback as we work. Before you know it, your student will be able to ace a paper all on their own!

Saman helped my son pass the fourth grade and for that she is a GODSEND!!! I didn’t know what to do when Preston came home from school one day talking about this newfangled Common Core curriculum—I can do math but it’s been near 30 years since I was his age and we had no such thing as word problems! I’m so thankful for Saman, who is every bit as patient and kind as she is a brilliant tutor. Preston adores her and says she makes learning math more fun than it is at school.
