About Keith
I just want to assure you that I am not overqualified to be your tutor. I am sympathetic and encouraging to my students. I once hated math, I found it boring and did not see it relevant. Now I enjoy it. I also allow you to record the sessions for further reference. I have four degrees and over 25 years of experience in the classroom and private one-on-one tutoring. Some might think that having many qualifications would put me out of touch. Not true, I'm able to convey difficult concepts in simple terms. I’m able to draw from a wealth of life perspectives I am certified/qualified to teach math (all levels), statistics chemistry and physics. If for any reason I am not a good fit, I will be happy to refer you to someone who may be a better one.

I have found that many students I have tutored need one who is patient and encouraging. My lessons are low stress and complete. Because of my background and years of experience students are carefully guided to understand and appreciate what they have learned. Parental involvement and feedback is encouraged. Perfect! Strong understanding of skills. For my son entering college is able to review and teach Alg, Trig and Calculus concepts. Dependable. Gets to know needs. Lessons are targeted. Mr. Offen tutored my 6th and 8th grade children and was always professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to his work. He went above and beyond by purchasing the same textbooks my kids used at school—at his own expense—just to better align his tutoring with their curriculum.
He consistently communicated with us as parents, keeping us updated on what he taught and how the kids were doing. He is very sweet and clearly passionate about teaching.
That said, his teaching style may be better suited for older students, such as high school seniors or college-level learners, as some of his methods were a bit advanced for middle schoolers. Still, we really appreciate the effort and care he put into working with our children.Keith is highly educated and has a strong knowledge in all fields and levels of math. He also has many years of teaching and tutoring experience. He does a great job breaking down problems and helping students understand math on a deeper level. I highly recommend him as a tutor for all levels of math and mathematically based sciences.
Keith has been an incredible math teacher for my daughter, helping her get two years ahead of grade level. He’s easy to work with, patient, and fantastic with kids—making challenging concepts both understandable and enjoyable. Cannot recommend Keith highly enough!
