About Amelie
I am a university student with experience working with younger learners, having previously volunteered with a local youth group. I hold a valid DBS check, confirming my eligibility to work with children. Having gone through the school system myself—from transitioning out of Year 6 to starting secondary school and later sixth form—I understand the pressures students face and the challenges of balancing academic and personal responsibilities. Because of this, I truly believe that with the right support and encouragement, every student has the potential to succeed. With a little guidance, you can achieve your best. My teaching approach is flexible and tailored to the individual needs of each student, focusing on their specific goals and areas of interest. This may include reading and analysing texts, developing exam techniques, or working on coursework elements such as creative writing. I provide support in both English Literature and Language. Lesson durations are adaptable, as some students benefit from longer sessions while others prefer shorter ones. I primarily offer lessons in the evenings but remain flexible to accommodate my university schedule and students' availability. Having gone through the same education you have, I know what it's like to be in your position. However, I naturally gravitated towards English throughout my education, and I am confident in my ability to support and guide students effectively. My lessons are aimed at secondary school students preparing for GCSEs or A-levels, with content tailored to reinforce classroom learning or address particular questions and challenges.
