About Davina
I currently study Chemical Engineering at University, which I decided to pursue after being intrigued studying Chemistry at GCSE's and A-level. I know first hand what it is like learning content at school, but not being able to grasp key concepts. As a tutor, I aim to use techniques I discovered during my studies to highlight any content you find difficult, and teaching this using a different approach. My objective is to boost your confidence and grades, by ensuring each lesson is different, interactive and exciting. We've all had that feeling of dreading to go to a certain lesson knowing the content is super difficult but I will ensure that you will be excited to attend every lesson with me!
As one of my parents is a tutor themselves, through assisting her I have first hand experience tutoring, and will use a a variety of quizzes, whiteboard activities, and question banks to keep your brain always working without even realising it! As a peer mentor at University, I have relevant experience working with students, as well as being part of the student staff committee at University, where I raise any concerns my stage cohort have and relay this back to lecturers. I believe myself to be a confident, positive and friendly individual, and I love helping others to help them succeed! To summarise, my lessons will be interactive, exciting and most importantly useful! I look forward to hearing from you all and can't wait to help!
