About Adam
I am a recent graduate, having studied Maths and Philosophy at the University of York. I haven't delivered any formal lessons thus far, but I have a history throughout my education of assisting other students with their studies to great success, including my younger sister, who recently achieved an A at A-level! I am excited to begin tutoring students formally!

I believe that it is more valuable to develop in-depth understanding of the concepts behind the material of A-level Maths and Further Maths than it is to simply learn through repetition alone. Developing an understanding of the material is more rewarding, more valuable to a long-term career in Maths, and more fun for the student! With this in mind, I intend to structure my lesson around guiding the student through the fundamentals such that they can then look to apply it to the questions asked in the papers! I will largely look to adapt to the student's needs; both in terms of the teaching style to which they best respond, and topics that they are finding particularly challenging.
Maths is a difficult but extremely rewarding subject to study, and I hope that with my tutoring I can help to curb a lot of the tedium that is often associated with the subject and hope to give a slice of my passion, enthusiasm and understanding to those I mentor, so that they can confidently face whatever challenges the exam throws at them!
