I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator and have worked as a lead RECE with children aged 2-5 years old. I will be graduating with my post-grad degree with a Bachelor of Education in June 2021, within the primary-junior division.

For my teaching philosophy, I believe that education is the foundation for students to build positive self-concepts in regards to academic success. In my teaching, I believe in allowing students to take ownership of their own learning, critical thinking skills, and collaboration between the teacher and students allows students to be a part of how they learn, catering to their individual needs. I also believe and value the importance of learning with and alongside my students, as we learn and gain new knowledge from each other. I am always learning about myself, students, and my teaching abilities each day, as I adapt to navigating challenges of virtual teaching, taking positive responsibility, as I have a willingness to learn. I also ensure that I implement ethical teaching practices that demonstrate inclusivity, differentiation while advocating student voice through a social justice lens.
