About Amber
Hi! I'm Amber, and I am a 21 year old student studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Liverpool. I am currently in my second year and loving every minute of it! I adore animals and therefore my entire life has circulated around trying to help all wonderful creatures. I hope to qualify and specialise in equine practice in the future.
I love teaching people and I have frequently taught throughout my life, even in university. Around exam time, I teach a friend lectures that she struggles to understand. I have given horse riding lessons to beginner riders at a riding school I previously worked at, and I currently give riding lessons to friends. I have tutored a girl in GCSE maths and double award science, which I felt was very rewarding. Seeing people grow in confidence after teaching fills me with joy and motivates me to continue my work, as I love witnessing the growth of self-belief and confidence.

My teaching style is about fun and ensuring that a pupil thoroughly understands a topic. I find that true understanding of a subject will enhance your memory of it and assist in answering difficult questions students may come across in exams. I will go out of my way to ensure that anyone I teach thoroughly comprehends the subject at hand, while making them feel comfortable enough to ask any questions about things they are not sure about.
I think that creating a solid base for each topic is essential, and building upon that allows for key areas to be developed and links of knowledge to be created. Additionally, I will carry out quizzes and ask practice questions to ensure pupils fully comprehend the information taught and can recap information appropriately. This way, the student and I can also identify weaker areas of their knowledge, and therefore we can work together to amend this.
