About Jesse
I'm Jesse Hakua Luis, a Big Island-raised ukulele teacher. I've played since I was 5 and love sharing my passion for music, blending traditional Hawaiian tunes with modern styles.
As a full-time videographer in Oahu, I capture the beauty of island life and tell stories through film.
I also teach at a Lo’i (kalo farm) on Oahu for fun when I volunteer on Wednesdays

You will be able to play your first local hawaiian style song that will make your friends jealous before the first lesson is over.
I start off usually with easy chords and strumming techniques and break the process down in easy to understand milestones.
Over the years ive taught I understand everyone learns differently and has different speeds at which they learn and know which learning style someone is to help them.
Usually by the first lesson 100% of people i taught in real life are able to play their first hawaiian song called surf.
