About Tim
English has always been my favorite subject, and not only do I have a Bachelor's degree in Literature, but I have excelled in the subject since I was in elementary school. There is no area of literature that I am not prepared to tutor you in. My goal, first and foremost, is to help you get to where you want to be, while hopefully inspiring you to love the subject as much as I do. Literature has been the center of my academic studies since I was a kid, and my decades of coaching/teaching experience have only reinforced my ability to communicate effectively.

I know better than most that everyone learns differently, is passionate about different things. I tailor every lesson to the student I'm working with, aiming to meet you wherever you are at. The first lesson would be spent getting to know you, what goals you have, what your background looks like, what you are most interested in. Then we would work together to construct a plan that meets your goals, incorporates your interests. I have experience working with all age groups, and can create effective, engaging programs for any level, any specific goals. My entire life was spent moving every 1-2 years, and being a military kid creates both difficulties and opportunities. I have been fortunate enough to gain a lot of experience with different people, from diverse backgrounds, and this has only reinforced my ability to relate to anyone. My struggles with ADD and mental health are central to my tutoring approach, everyone deserves a teacher who meets them where they are.
