About Rosie
I recently graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering. I am now a coastal/waterfront engineer. I have always been passionate about math, science, and learning. I come from a family of teachers and learned that a good teacher can be the difference between loving a subject and despising it.

During high school and college I privately tutored students in elementary school math and high school Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. At the University of Rhode Island I was a TA in the physics department, focusing on Elementary Physics I & II. I understand that every student has a unique learning style, and I take the time to tailor my teaching approach to each individual student’s strengths and needs. I gear my sessions to the specific needs of each student, including: homework support, test preparation, and skills reviews. Former students have responded positively to my patient and enthusiastic style which often utilizes analogies to help students develop a more concrete understanding of abstract topics.
