About Melissa
Writing is hard. But once I started sharing tales of folks' selfless deeds, and amazing activities in the Bangor Daily News, I couldn't stop! Meanwhile, an unexpected offer to teach persuasive writing at an area university spurred me to earn my master's degree, which opened the door to teaching undergraduates such subjects as media ethics, college writing and more at several area locales! That's how I spent my days for 10 years, while I also worked evenings as a copy editor!
