About Lily
My name is Lily and I’m a 22-year-old teaching assistant with a real passion for education and helping children thrive. I work full time in a primary school, where I lead maths and English interventions, supporting pupils with confidence building and preparing them for SATs. I have experience working with children with additional needs and understand that every child learns differently, which is why I focus on patience, encouragement, and finding alternative methods that make learning click for them.
I strongly believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn, succeed, and feel proud of themselves, no matter their starting point. My approach is supportive and calm, creating a safe space where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I aim to build not just academic skills, but also confidence and resilience.
Outside of teaching, I’m a huge animal lover and have four dogs, which has definitely strengthened my patience and caring nature. I also have a passion for music, which I love incorporating into learning where appropriate to keep sessions engaging and fun. I’m fully DBS checked and registered on the Update Service, and I’m committed to providing high-quality, reliable support tailored to each child’s needs.

Confident and experienced maths tutor working full time in a primary school, where I lead maths and English interventions to support children preparing for SATs.
