About Ashley

The reason I became an educator is because I believe all children deserve to have someone in their corner as a support system, and I know that some children may need extra academic support and guidance at some point throughout their education. The reality is that we live in a busy society today -one in which it is easy to overlook students who may need extra academic supports, and I strive to be that bridge that will help to foster self-efficacy.

About the lesson

My teaching approach involves building lessons tailored to meet students' individual needs. Building a positive student/teacher relationship is the foundation of any good lesson, and allows the student to be amenable to growth and engagement.

-17 years in education with background in private tutoring and classroom instruction

-California teaching credential (certified in Elementary Education with a middle school endorsement in English Language Arts and Social Sciences)

-SQ Write Certified

-over 50 hours of professional development

-Communicates frequently with parents in regards to their child's' growth and advancement.

-Enjoys motivating children and adults to meet their potential!

Ashley is amazing. She tailors each lesson to my specific needs and goals. The atmosphere is very warm and comfortable, so I never feel pressured. I especially love how she encourages me to speak up without fearing mistakes. If you want to improve your English with confidence, she is the tutor for you!
