About Cynthia

Hi there! I’m Cynthia, and I’m really excited to be your Chinese speaking tutor. My cross-cultural journey shaped me into a patient, open teacher who enjoys helping others feel confident. Outside class, I love dancing, watching dramas, and exploring outdoors—always bringing energy and curiosity into our lessons.

About the lesson

I specialize in creating personalized one-on-one courses that focus on each student's individual interests and goals, ensuring that learning is not only enjoyable and rewarding but also leads to rapid progress and practical language skills you can use in real-life situations. Depending on my students' study goals, the lessons center on everyday conversation training with topics of traveling, study, or business scenarios. While growing up in China, I also have extensive experience working and studying in multi-language and multi-cultural environments in the US for years. My background has brought me the edge of advanced communication in language education - the ability to understand and resolve the obstacles that native English speakers might meet in pronouncing Chinese phrases and grasping the logic of informal/formal Chinese speaking. Students will learn how to start and join conversations, use local slang, and master essential vocabulary and sentence structures, resulting in greater confidence, smoother communication, and the ability to connect with native speakers—all while enjoying engaging discussions. If you're interested in improving your Chinese speaking skills for international study, travel plans, business development, or simply personal interests, let's join this journey together and discover the best way for you to progress and have fun!
