My approach to tutoring is student-centered, clear, and practical. I believe mathematics becomes easier when concepts are broken down step by step and connected to real-life situations. In my lessons, I use guided explanation, worked examples, questioning, practice exercises, and continuous feedback to help students understand ideas deeply rather than just memorize procedures. I also adapt my teaching to suit different learning needs, so each student can learn at a pace and style that helps them grow in confidence.
A typical lesson usually lasts about 60 minutes. During that time, I begin by checking prior understanding, teach or review the main concept, work through examples together, and then give the student a chance to practise independently with support. My goal is to make each lesson engaging, well-structured, and encouraging so that students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating.
I hold a bachelor’s degree from Kenyatta University and have classroom teaching experience in Mathematics. My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students, especially those who want to strengthen their understanding, improve performance, build confidence, or prepare for assessments. I enjoy helping learners develop strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude towards mathematics.
