About Brendan
Experience in a range of genres, from training with the National Youth Choir of Northern Ireland to performing in Musical theatre and with live jazz bands and rock bands. Five years ago I started teaching in Ireland and now with my relocation to Manchester I wish to continue to help singers reach their potential.

I base my lessons on the individual goals of the student. We will work on body, breath and vocal techniques that will not only improve your singing but will make singing more comfortable (no more straining to hit the high notes!).
When working on the songs of your choice I place an importance on developing your authentic performance style. A style that is at once unique to you and adaptable to the sentiment of each song.
Furthermore, there will be an opportunity to develop improvisation skills and music theory skills.

Perfect! I first made contact with Brendan to undertake singing tuition for my 10 year old son who has a lovely voice and loves to sing.
He’s never had singing tuition before so was apprehensive and I was too as I didn’t know what to expect for him. He had his first free lesson with Brendan and immediately it was clear that Brendan knows his stuff and is both well trained and highly experienced. He was keen to put our son at ease and make him feel comfortable and for a nervous 10 year old that was not an easy job, but Brendan did amazingly.
Brendan took time to get to know Tom’s voice and also discussed the very basics of signing which Tom was unfamiliar with.
By the end of the first Lesson Tom was buzzing with enthusiasm and immediately wanted to commit to weekly lessons with Brendan which we have now commenced. Brendan is a great tutor and I am full of hope and confidence for my Son’s ongoing journey with singing.
