About Myriam
I've been teaching Spanish in public schools for 20 years, and it's truly been a passion of mine. I earned a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning Spanish and its Culture from the University of Granada in Spain, and another Master’s in Integrating Technology into the Classroom from Walden University. Blending both degrees with years of hands-on experience—working with English speakers and native Spanish speakers alike, from beginner levels all the way to IB classes—has helped me become a teacher who really gets what students need to thrive in learning the language.

Learning Spanish Should Be About Real Communication!
In my lessons, we focus on the four key skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing—because that’s how we truly connect in any language. I use technology to make listening and reading fun and effective, starting with clear audio and gradually adding real-life background noise (just like everyday conversations!).
Whether you're just starting out or looking to polish your Spanish, I meet you where you are and help you grow from there. Everyone learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to your style. With 20 years of experience teaching English speakers, near-fluent learners, and native Spanish speakers, I’m here to help you feel confident, natural, and excited to use Spanish in the real world.
