About Ted
Visual learning has always been a part of my life. In school, I struggled- not because I didn't want to learn, but because the programs were not suited for much beyond their scope. But then I took art class.
That was when the world changed for me. Not because I learned how to turn my ideas into drawing, but because I learned how to express myself through creativity and visual communication. Then, I applied this to every aspect of my life and made it through school!
Since then, I have made comic books by myself, as well as with other people in a team, written a few novels, made puzzle books for kids (Because who doesn't love a good puzzle?), and printed paints to sell at pop-up markets as a vendor!
I learned not from one, but from many. From my high school art teacher, to a private fine-arts teacher, from online tutorials to learning from comic book artists at comic cons, I have taken my art through the filters of learning.
But it wasn't easy. I spent hours and hours practicing and perfecting the human anatomy, drawing nature and landscapes, and even delved into abstract art and painting. I nearly gave up so many times, threw my pencil across the room and ripped my paper more times than I can count. I have even been told by some people that my art would never succeed and to give up- only to challenge their criticism and rise above them!
But us artists are never satisfied- we always want to keep practicing and improving, and there is nothing wrong with that! I look up to many artists and writers for inspiration all the time, and if it weren't for the heroes in my life, I never would have succeeded. I am thankful!

My name is Ted Pogo, and I have created comic books, novels, children's puzzle books- all published through Amazon KDP using mostly free tools and software! When I say "mostly", of course there is the purchase of paper, pencils and pens, a simple computer or laptop- the basics. But what I mean by "free" is that the digital software used to render and edit the artwork and books are totally free! Even publishing through Amazon does not cost a penny!
That's right! If you already have your own basic supplies and a computer, you can make your own book!
This course will turn you into a book hero in no time! After you are done, you will have the knowledge to create anything your heart desires. Dream away because the sky is your limit!
