About Lowell
Open mics in the South turned into a classroom when regulars asked for tips. I started sharing my knowledge 9 years ago after gigging across the region for 13 years. My USC degree in popular music anchors my work.
I focus on tuning and maintenance plus rhythm guitar and electric technique. Technique covers acoustic playing and improvisation and soloing. I also emphasize strumming patterns to build foundation. I am a musician who knows the grind of the stage.

Instruction rarely feels like work when you connect the sacred and secular musical traditions. A good session starts with a diagnostic skills check to build your plan instead of following a generic map.
My USC degree gives me the tools to explain complex ideas simply. After 9 years of teaching, I prefer a natural pace. We look at the instrument through a songwriter lens during our time together. Exploring the fretboard should be the most fun part of your entire week.
