About Alex
I am a retired university professor, 25 years of teaching Political Science, Constitutional Law, International Relations and Research Methods. Several times selected Best Teacher of the Year by students; recipient of the prestigious award by the American Political Science Association For Excellence in Teaching Political Science.
My teaching objectives vary, depending upon the course level and content. In designing a course and student evaluation scheme, I try to maximize student participation and accomplishments. At the undergraduate level, my teaching format generally includes a PowerPoint presentation backed up by handouts, questions and creative exercises to encourage class discussion.

I understand teaching as continuing human interaction during which the instructor guides students in their intellectual growth. Successful interaction occurs only when students trust the teacher and see that the subject matter relates directly to their lives.
